The Dutch Royal Family has shared that one of their royal homes, Palace Noordeinde, will be open to visitors this summer.

Palace Noordeinde is one of the Dutch Royal Family’s three official residences. Located in The Hague, the palace will open for visitors from 16 July to 3 August 2025, with tours of the palace and the royal stables available. 

The tour of the palace also features a new exhibition celebrating the 200th anniversary of Koninklijke Verzamelingen, the Dutch Royal Collection. The exhibition includes items from past Dutch monarchs, as well as the dish sets from five generations of the family. 

The Royal Stables have their own display of five royal vehicles on show, with Princess Beatrix’s DAF Kini from 1967 leading the group. 

The site was first used as a royal residence in the early seventeenth century. Following Napoleon’s defeat, King William I moved into the palace and spent much of his time there in the winter. 

King William III and his successor, Queen Wilhemina, both used Noordeinde as their winter home. Queen Juliana lived elsewhere, however. 

As of 1984, Palace Noordeinde is now the official working palace for the monarch, and it is used for official business and government events. The palace and surrounding gardens are owned by the state.
