Audio Plugin Deals is offering Legendary, a cinematic sound design library for Kontakt and WAV, as a free download for a limited time.

Legendary normally costs $39, and the free version includes both the Kontakt instrument and standalone WAV files.

The library contains 459 sounds recorded at 96 kHz / 24-bit. The included categories cover hits, low-end impacts, reverses, passbys, risers, robo glitches, stingers, stutters, tonal sounds, whooshes, and more.

These are mostly the kinds of sounds used for trailers and media scoring. If you need dark transitions, risers, impacts, or quick sound design layers for film, game audio, or cinematic music, this should be a useful download.

The Kontakt patch loads the sounds into a single interface with a waveform display, pitch control, Attack, Release, filters, Delay, and a Morph control that acts like a gate to create stutter effects.

Legendary also includes 80 custom convolution reverbs, with spaces and effects such as Arena, Cathedral, Chainsaw, and Granular. The WAV files can be dragged directly into your DAW if you prefer working outside Kontakt.

Please note that the Kontakt version requires the full retail version of Kontakt 5.5.0 or higher. It is not compatible with the free Kontakt Player.

The download is 1.2 GB, and the sounds are royalty-free for use in music and sound design projects. Legendary works on macOS and Windows.
