Do you want to be Andrew Mountbatten-Windsor’s neighbour? £1.25m home goes on sale

A rather unusual opportunity has presented itself in Norfolk,
with a historic property on the same road as Andrew
Mountbatten-Windsor’s new home going on the market for £1.25
million.

The Grade II-listed former Wolferton Railway Station has been
converted into a substantial private residence and is now being
offered for sale.

And for the prospective buyer, there is a rather intriguing
prospect: Andrew Mountbatten-Windsor lives just metres away.

The former Duke of York moved into Marsh Farm on the Sandringham
Estate earlier this year after leaving Royal Lodge in Windsor.

His new home is on the same road as the former railway station,
meaning the new owner could find themselves living remarkably close
to the King’s younger brother.

Wolferton station has a fascinating royal history of its
own.

The station opened in 1862 on the King’s Lynn to Hunstanton
railway line, the same year Queen Victoria acquired the Sandringham
Estate for her son, the future King Edward VII.

Members of the Royal Family used Wolferton station for more than
a century when travelling to and from Sandringham, before the
station eventually closed in 1969.

Today, the former station has been transformed into a rather
extraordinary home.

The £1.25 million property sits on approximately half an acre
and includes a breakfast room, drawing room, dining room, study and
three bedrooms.

The original royal suite and former public waiting rooms have
been incorporated into the accommodation.

There is even a refurbished Signal Box, which has been almost
completely rebuilt and could be used as an annex, studio or guest
accommodation.

The station is close to Andrew’s permanent home. He moved there
after extensive renovations at Marsh Farm, which is situated within
King Charles’s 20,000-acre Sandringham Estate.

He was forced to relocate after giving up the lease on Royal
Lodge, his home for over 20 years, as anger about his relationship
with convicted paedophile, Jeffrey Epstein, grew. In October 2025,
King Charles announced that he had removed the HRH and Prince title
from his younger brother. The King issued Letters Patent shortly
afterwards to confirm the removal of Andrew’s royal titles. He also
asked the Lord Chancellor to remove the ducal titles held by Andrew
from the Roll of Peerage.

Whoever buys the £1.25 million former railway station could find
themselves sharing the neighbourhood with the disgraced royal.

The question is: would you want Andrew Mountbatten-Windsor as
your neighbour?
